Pistols or pearls? He or She? What will baby Derrett be?!

This sweet gender reveal was so amazing! From the loving families and friends, to the very yummy snacks, and the stunning decor, it was a dream come true. Hollyn & Maurice Derrett are expecting their first baby! How exciting!

The Derrett’s are no strangers to Captured by Riley Marie. Just for fun sessions, their proposal, and creative solo sessions, they have always chosen me to capture what matters most to them, and to say i was honored to photograph their gender reveal would be the understatement of the year! Okay. Now we have to circle back to the stunning decor at this amazing gender reveal!

Stunning?! Duh! Now let’s take a look at the beautiful couple. The amazing parents to be! Because why would I keep talking when I can just show you how amazing they look! (And how much Hollyn is glowing!)

Now… It’s time for what we have all been waiting for! After taking pictures, eating some yummy food, and hanging out with everyone.. It’s time to reveal the gender! Everyone gathered around, anxiously pulling out their phone to record this precious moment. The first niece or nephew, the first grandbaby, and great grandbaby for most! Mom and dad to be grab their ‘fire extinguishers’, grandmas and aunts grab their confetti cannons, and take a deep breathe.

Then they begin to count.
