Hi, I'm Riley. It is so nice to meet you! I am a portrait & automotive photographer based in Hutto, Texas, but travel all over our beautiful state, and beyond, to capture unique stories, just like yours! Capturing what matters most to you, is what matter most to me!

I am a sister to two young woman, a passionate deadhead & clikkie, and most importantly, a very dedicated pet parent. (and maybe a tattoo addict, but who's keeping tabs?) When I am not behind the camera you can find me in the garage working on a project, reading a good book, or binge watching Grey's anatomy  for the millionth time!

01.

I am originally from the (slightly boring) state of Indiana, and moved to Texas when I was six years old. I like to consider myself an honorary Texan!

02.

My top three dream cars are a Papaya Orange McLaren 720s (specifically Papaya Orange), a Nissan GTR R-33, and Ford Bronco.

03.

My favorite band in the whole wide world is Twenty One Pilots, and I've seen them live twice! Once during the Bandito tour, and once during the Clancy tour. Just don't ask me my favorite song... I don't think i could pick just one!

04.

Getting a tattoo in each of the fifty states is at the very top of my bucket list! I have only gotten a tattoo in three states so far, but I am very determined.

05.

My top five favorite movies are The Labyrinth, The Lost Boys, The Outsiders, Pacific Rim, and 2 Fast 2 Furious. (Can the entire Fast & Furious franchise count as one?!)

06.

I LOVE Dr. Pepper. I would live at the Dr. Pepper museum if  I could!  Anything Dr. Pepper?

Autumn, in my home state of Indiana, and winter here in Texas.

It's a tough call between Halloween & Christmas.. But as time goes on I seem to favor Christmas.

From a young age I would steal my mom's phone and run around the backyard attempting to take 'artsy' photos of all her gorgeous flowers. But I never really picked up (or even thought about) a professional camera.

Then, when I was nineteen years old I went to a session with my boyfriend. (He was getting photos taken of his Mustang!) I felt re-inspired and decided to give professional photography a shot. so, one thing led to another, and I took my dads DLSR and snapped a few pics of my boyfriends car.. something must have clicked! I instantly knew that this is what I want to do for the rest of my of my life.

As soon as I got home up uploaded all the images to my
laptop, and went straight to editing them.
I wanted to do this professionally, I want it to be official. Thats when I decided to create an instagram account! I called myself CTX Photography, and wanted to specialize in Automotive photography. The immense joy I felt when
clicking such a simple button stole my heart instantly. But little did I know, there was *so much more* to starting a photography business, than a ‘simple’ button.

After a year of pursing automotive photography I decided it was time broaden my horizons. I decided I was going to
wonder into the world of portrait photography!

Expanding my skill set, to me, meant rebranding. I needed a name that represented all of my brand, both portraits and automotive.. I needed a fresh start! So I decided on a simple, easy-to-remember name. so, Captured By Riley Marie was born. I still have so much room to grow, I am still trying to find my place in the very competitive world that is photography, and you being here is part of that growth! I can’t thank you enough!

I shoot on a Nikon DSLR camera, primarily with my 'nifty fifty' (50mm F1.8) and occasionally with with my 85mm F1.2.

My goal for Captured By Riley Marie is to upgrade to a mirrorless Nikon camera, and to bring on a second shooter by the end of the year.
