When the Kennedy’s and I booked this session, we had no idea that it would be our last… It was just another session, Raelynn’s annual glamour shots, with a couple shots of mom and dad sprinkled in! It was a gorgeous, although gloomy, day with green grass and beautiful Blue Bonnets. Raelynn was in the cutest little floral outfit, and Asiah and Zach looked like the dream couple, as always.

We started like we always do! Spamming the shutter button because Rae is just too cute, and there is no such thing as too many photos of her. We walked around the park stopping, capturing Rae’s little smile, walk some more, and repeat. Snapped a few photos with mom, then with dad, and a few more shots of Rae in between, you know, just in case we hadn’t gotten enough already. She was especially grumpy this time, so it was important to capture anything that even slightly resembled a smile, giggle, etc.

Flash forward about 2 weeks… I get every photographers nightmare text… It’s Asiah, and she has some heartbreaking news. Zach, Rae, and herself are moving. Not just new a new neighborhood, or even a neighboring town… STATES! The Kennedy’s are moving states away, and let me tell you, I just about shed a tear.

If you regularly read the blog, you’ll know that the Kennedy family shows up often. They are my longest standing clients, and have been through all the ups and downs since I first picked up my camera. Every time I got a text from Asiah I knew it was time to book a session! From automotive sessions, to baby showers and newborn photos, to updated family photos, or just for fun! They always chose me to capture whatever it was that matters most to them. They really have become like family to me. Over 2 years of getting to know Asiah, over a year of watching her start her beautiful family, and I wouldn’t change a second of it!

To my favorite family… I truly cannot thank you enough for always entrusting me with capturing your family’s journey. I hope that one day we can get together again, and capture even more precious memories! I really do love you guys. Until then… I hope you enjoy your sneak peeks!
