Home Studio Christmas Mini With Emily Rose

Eeeek! My God Daughter finally got back in front of my camera, and she did not disappoint! In spirit of the holiday season we dressed her up in the cutest little dress in the whole world, an paired it with an adorable matching bow, and the tiniest little socks. And may I just say… AHHH! IT WAS PERFECTLY ADORABLE! Seriously, this session was perfect. (Don’t worry, I’ll show you soon!)

After some catching up from me and Alex (my best friend, if you’re new here!) we got Emily changed into her tiny little dress, and go straight to work! And when I say work, I mean my camera went to work. I must have pressed my shutter button a million times praying for a good shot because, holy moly, Emily is one heck of a wiggle worm! But, of course, as soon as I get into my flow… She stops smiling!

Let’s take a moment of silence…

Because if you know anything about babies, you know that when they stop smiling… It can be a while before they start smiling again.

We thought that was it.

The session was over.

No. More. Photos!

But then… the most simple miracle happened.

My dog, Bruce, decided to come check out what mom was doing… And then Emily saw him.

Side Note: Emily *loves* dogs. She is absolutely obsessed with dogs, not matter how big or small. She could be in the middle of an earth shattering melt down… but as soon as she sees a dog, she is the happiest little girl in the whole wide world.

So, when bruce came to see what all the commotion was about, she instantly lit up! She saw her best friend! (Seriously, these two cannot get enough of each other!) And because of that we were able to continue shooting, and O. M. G! They turned out to be some of the cutest photos I have ever taken!

From start to finish, as with most young babies that are in front of my camera, this session was an emotional rollercoaster, but boy is it worth it! Especially in the home studio! From the coziest pillows, and the dreamy lit up tree, to the perfectly wrapped presents, and the beautifully simple stockings, with Emily all in the middle of it, a Holiday session simply does not get much better. (I’m totally unbiased) So without further ado, a quick thank you to Alex for always choosing me to capture what matters most, and now, what you have all been waiting for… The cutest, most festive sneak peeks ever:

P.S: Emily is also almost 6 months old! Eeeekk! With that being said, you better be ready for even more super duper frickin cute sneak peeks coming soon to the blog!
