Imagine a picture perfect family of three, getting ready to welcome their newest addition… And then put them right in front of my camera. That is exactly what happened during this sweet, picnic themed, maternity session at Overlook Park in Georgetown with the Mead family.

You’ve seen many sessions take place here, and it’s for a good reason. Overlook Park truly is a Jack of all trades! Hiking? Awesome. Swimming? You bet! Photography? Impossible to beat! It has beautiful woods, gorgeous paths, and stunning waterfronts. And this session with Brittanie and her beautiful family proves that no matter the occasion, Overlook Park can deliver breathtaking results. Even better? It will deliver amazing results to this momma and her wonderful family.

When I first met the Mead family, it was like we had known each other for *years*. They immediately felt like life long friends. It was like a breath of fresh air! I just knew that this session was going to be one to remember. (Spoiler alert: It was!) We didn’t even need that super awkward warm up time! You know, the part of the session where you say hi, put names to faces, then it all goes silent.. Totally skipped it (!!!)

We got straight to work, had tons of laughs, ate some very yummy peaches, and got some pretty awesome photos out of it!

As autumn approaches, so does baby Harper! Brittanie and her family couldn’t be more excited to welcome their baby girl, and I am so honored to be the one capturing their joy. Brittanie, David, I am so happy for you and this new chapter of your lives. I just know Ava is going to be the best big sister, and I can’t wait to meet baby Harper!
