Emily Rose – Sweet Summer Newborn Session
Where do I even begin…
This blog holds a tremendously special place in my heart.
If you are a loyal blog reader you’ll know that my best friend in the whole wide world, Alex, is pregnant. Well.. *was* pregnant. Her little bundle of joy has FINALLY arrived! Little miss Emily Rose has made her grand entrance into the world, and she is just the most perfect little ray of sunshine.
I had the most amazing honor of being by Alex’s side during her labor, a 13 hour labor at that, and witnessed the miracle that was Emily Rose being born. But wait! I have *even more* news!
Alex has officially asked me to be little miss Emily’s God Mother! I am so honored to have been given this title, and plan to take my job very seriously. I am so excited to have Emily by mine and Alex’s side as our newest wheeling partner! We going to be one heck of a trio!
But, you are here for one of two reasons…
1. To see the cutest sneak peeks ever
or
2. To dive deeper into the session
so let’s get to it!
This was not our first rodeo, so you might be thinking that this session went as smooth as butter, but Emily had other plans. At first everything was absolutely perfect! Emily was in the comfort of her mommas arms, sleeping soundly, and she looked so beautifully peaceful. It was picture *perfect*. Then… It was time for the outfit change. Little miss Emily was NOT too happy about that. She was fussing, and crying for almost the entire remainder of the session, but no need to fear! She eventually calmed down, feel back asleep (after a nice good meal), and we got some of the most precious images, for Alex to cherish for many, many years to come.
So let this blog post not only be a super adorable sneak peek, but a clear message that not every session goes exactly the way you plan. Things happen! Babies cry, they get hungry, maybe they need a sudden diaper change. And that is totally fine, and completely normal. You will still get amazing pictures, I promise!
Now it’s finally time for the good stuff.. The sneak peek! Thank you once again, Alex, for trusting me to capture what matters most to you! I love both you, and Emily, with all of my heart, and I am so excited to continue documenting her growth for years and years to come!
