I am so excited to share this ‘creative’ portrait session in Twenty-Mile Crossing, Texas with you! This session was especially fun for me to shoot because Hollyn is always so relaxed and carefree, and allows me all the creative freedom a photographer could dream of. This comes in particularly handy when doing a solo portrait (senior style) session. I don’t do them often, so sometimes I am a little rusty. With no real mile-stone or occasion this was a perfect opportunity for the both of us to get exactly what we need… For Hollyn, that was stunning, dreamy, just for fun portraits, and for me, some much needed practice with a ‘senior style’ portrait session.
While I (obviously) rarely do sessions with a single person, if there is one thing I live for it’s expanding my skill set, learning! And Hollyn was the perfect person to do it with! When it comes to my business I prioritize me specialty, Maternity & Family photography, so I don’t have a ton of opportunities to exercise certain skills, but when I do, boy is it so much fun!
It was an unseasonably hot day, however, Hollyn played the part beautifully and toughed out the warm weather it her cozy cardigan and *super cute* boots. Totally worth it if you ask me!
We roamed all over the breathtaking 200 acre West Texas ranch, along the San Saba river, and got some stunning photos in return! While this amazing session was short, it was absolutely oh-so sweet! Hollyn, you are a GEM! I am always so honored to photograph you and I couldn’t love your photos more! Here are just a few of my favorites!
